Houses for rent. Properties that need caretakers.
Rent or Caretake is a listings site with two sides. Owners list homes and vacation rentals for $4.95. Estate, farm and lodge owners post caretaker positions. Everything is listed by the owner, and nobody pays for access to listings that don't exist yet.
Why Rent or Caretake
Owner-submitted only
Every listing is posted by the property owner or their authorized manager. We never publish a property because someone else says it looks empty.
Verified before publishing
We confirm each owner's identity and authority over the property before a listing goes live, and we keep street addresses private until an owner chooses to share them.
Honest launch
We are new. Listings are being added now, and our examples page labels every sample as an illustration. Paid caretaker access opens only once there are real verified positions to browse.
How it works
1. Owners post
Describe the property, duties, term, and what you offer. Posting during launch is free.
2. We verify
We check ownership or authority and review the listing for accuracy and safety.
3. Caretakers apply
Caretakers create a profile, browse live positions, and contact owners through Rent or Caretake.
